- 500g beef mince
- 400g lamb mince
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp mint (dried)
- Salt and pepper (to suit)
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ chorizo sausage (small)
Step 1: In a large bowl add the beef and the lamb mince
Step 2: Add eggs, salt & pepper, garlic & onion powder and mix thoroughly
Step 3: Split the mixture in half between two bowls
Step 4: Add the chilli powder and chorizo to one bowl and mix to combine
Step 5: Add the mint to the other bowl and mix to combine
Step 6: Shape into patties (I use a burger press)
Step 7: Heat a large frying/griddle pan with coconut oil and fry your burger patties in batches for around 5-6 mins on each side
Serve with low carb veggies and a slice of cheese.
Serve your burgers in a mushroom bun with cheese, onions, some homemade mayo and a side salad drizzled with olive oil.
Check for any hidden gluten and wheat in any herbs and spices you use.
These burgers can be frozen, make sure you use wax paper in between each burger.
